Indiana closed nonconference play in emphatic fashion Friday night, steamrolling Indiana State 73–0. The Hoosiers scored early, scored often and looked every bit the top-20 team that they are. But now the real test begins. The soft landing of August and early September is gone. Big Ten play opens with a primetime showdown against No. 9 Illinois, a team fresh off its first 10-win season in more than two decades.
