Indiana football closed the book on nonconference play in emphatic fashion. The Hoosiers overwhelmed in-state foe Indiana State on Friday night, cruising to a 73-0 shutout that was over before halftime. For the third straight week, head coach Curt Cignetti’s group walked off the field undefeated. But unlike the slog of Week 1 or the step forward of Week 2, this was domination from start to finish. Indiana scored in every way possible, suffocated on defense and looked every bit like a team ready to test itself against the Big Ten. Now comes the real challenge: a top-10 Illinois team next weekend in Bloomington. Here are my final thoughts from the Hoosiers' Week 3 win over Indiana State.
