Rain fell hard on Memorial Stadium Saturday, but it didn’t put out the fire that’s been burning inside the Indiana football program. One week after conquering then-No. 3 Oregon on the road in one of the biggest wins in school history, the No. 3 Hoosiers came home and did exactly what great teams are supposed to do — take care of business. Indiana’s 38–13 dismantling of Michigan State pushed the Hoosiers to 7–0, kept them firmly in the College Football Playoff conversation and made one thing abundantly clear: Fernando Mendoza isn’t just a Heisman contender — he might be the favorite. Here are my final thoughts from a rain-filled win for the Hoosiers over the Spartans.
