'Highlight reel waiting to happen' and 'Ultimate team guy and competitor': Indiana signs 2026 commits

Indiana basketball announces additions of 2026 recruits.

As the early signing period comes to a close both of Indiana’s 2026 basketball commits have officially signed with the Hoosiers.

The early signing period wraps up on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

Four-star wing Vaughn Karvala got everything signed and wrapped up on Monday while three-star guard Prince-Alexander Moody signed on the first day of the signing period, Nov. 12.

Indiana’s current two-member 2026 class ranks No. 30 in the Rivals Industry Team Rankings.

Here is a full breakdown of each player from Indiana, including comments from head coach Darian DeVries. 

Vaughn Karvala; SF, Bella Vista Prep (Az.)

Ranking: No 41 Overall | No. 17 Small Forward

Three-year letterwinner for head coach Chris Siebert at Oregon High School in Wisconsin before transferring to Bella Vista Prep, a preseason top 10 team, prior to his senior season … averaged 26.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.6 steals per game as a junior … shot 53.5% from the floor and 41.9% from the 3-point lines in his final season with the Panthers … 2025 Badger Conference Player of the Year … broke the program’s all-time scoring mark during his third season … averaged 14.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and shot 34.3% from the 3-point line in 15 games with Team HERRO in the 2025 EYBL season … son of Eric and Alexandra Karvala … has one brother: Reese … born on Nov. 16, 2007.

Prince-Alexander Moody; SG, Bishop McNamara (Md.)
