The 2025 college baseball offseason is officially underway for teams around the country, and with it comes the ever-busy NCAA transfer portal season.

Following the conclusion of the first weekend of NCAA Tournament play, numerous programs around the country are shifting focus to roster construction, and Indiana is no exception.

The transfer portal window for non-graduate, rostered college baseball players runs from June 2 to July 1. This 30-day window is a critical time for roster turnover, as players seek new opportunities and coaching staffs work to fill holes and improve lineups.

TheHoosier.com’s live tracker will follow all of Indiana baseball’s portal-related activity throughout the offseason — including players who enter the portal and any additions the Hoosiers make from outside programs.

INCOMING TRANSFERS (12)

Outfielder Ayden Crouse: Crouse spent the first three years of his career at Chandler-Gilbert Community College in Arizona. After not seeing the field in his true freshman season in 2023, Crouse returned with purpose as a redshirt freshman in 2024. In 41 games that year, he posted a .310 batting average with 23 stolen bases. It was this past season, in 2025, that Crouse truly emerged as a standout. Over 59 games, he slashed an impressive .391, racking up 27 extra-base hits — including 15 doubles, nine triples, and three home runs. Crouse also stole 56 bases on 62 attempts, averaging nearly a steal per game. In total, across 100 collegiate games, Crouse has swiped 79 bags and has been caught just seven times.

Right-Handed Pitcher Michael Sarhatt: Sarhatt, a 6-foot-6 California native, brings a long and winding college journey to Bloomington, Indiana will be his fourth different school at the collegiate level. Sarhatt began his career at Skyline College, moved to Nevada for the 2023 season (where he posted a 6.39 ERA in 18 appearances), then spent the 2024 and 2025 seasons at Division II Point Loma. Across his two seasons with the Sea Lions, Sarhatt recorded a 4.17 ERA over 41.0 innings. His 2025 campaign was his best yet, logging a 3.48 ERA in 21 bullpen appearances, while striking out 46, walking just 14, and limiting opposing hitters to a .197 batting average.

Right-Handed Pitcher Jackson Bergman: Another tall righty, Bergman, a native of Hicksville, Ohio, stands an imposing 6-foot-6. Bergman spent the first three seasons of his career at Toledo, where he posted a 4.68 ERA across 41 career appearances. The best season of Bergman’s career was in 2024, where he amassed 3.94 ERA in 59.1 innings of work. He struck out 52 hitters while walking just 18 during the 2024 campaign. This past season, in 2025, Bergman struggled with walks. He walked a career-high 25 batters and struck out just 31 en route to a 5.65 ERA in 65.1 innings of work. Over the course of his career, Bergman has started 23 games, including all 16 games he appeared in a season ago when he finished the year as the Saturday starter for the Rockets.

Right-Handed Pitcher Kaden Jacobi: In two years at Missouri, Jacobi made 27 total appearances, with six of them being starts. This past season, Jacobi nearly tripled his innings output from 2024, racking up 46.2 innings of work on the mound with the Tigers. In 2025, the 6-foot-3 O’Fallon, Missouri native amassed a 10.03 ERA in 17 appearances, five of which were starts. He struck out 51 batters while walking 24. Jacobi allowed opponents to his .328 against him this past season. Bursting onto the scene as a freshman, Neubeck pitched 54.1 innings and logged a 5.63 ERA in 2022 for the Tigers. He followed a strong freshman campaign with a great start to the 2023. Neubeck recorded a 3.86 ERA across six appearances to begin his sophomore campaign before an injury cut his season short — an injury that held him out of the 2024 season as well. The Hoosiers will be hoping Neubeck can return to his pre-injury form when he takes the mound for Indiana next season.

OUTGOING TRANSFERS (15)

Infielder Josh Pyne: Pyne is one of the most decorated position players in recent Indiana history. The Bloomfield, Indiana native is a 6-foot, 195-pound third baseman who made an immediate impact as a freshman and has remained a staple of IU’s lineup throughout his career — until an injury cut his 2025 season short after just five hitless games. Pyne earned Freshman All-American honors in 2022 and was a consistent force at third base. He ranks fifth all-time in program history in doubles (58) and 15th in hits (222).

UPDATE: Pyne has committed to Troy.

Utility Joey Brenczewski: Brenczewski had a limited role in 2025. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound designated hitter appeared in 38 games and hit .297, but struggled to earn regular starts behind standout freshman Hogan Denny. A year earlier, he was a Second-Team All-Big Ten and All-Freshman Team honoree, hitting .333 with 42 RBIs.

UPDATE: Brenszewski has committed to South Florida.

Infielder Jasen Oliver: After a standout freshman season, Oliver saw his role diminish in 2025. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound infielder started 21 games this past season but hit just .179. A strong freshman campaign in 2024 saw him blast 10 home runs, hit .285, and earn All-Big Ten Freshman Team honors. Oliver holds the program record for most RBIs in a single game by a freshman (8 at Minnesota in 2024).

UPDATE: Oliver has committed to Michigan.

Left-Handed Pitcher Deron Swanson: Swanson, a 6-foot-3 southpaw from Fort Wayne, Indiana, spent just one season at IU. Benes showed occasional promise as a freshman, making two starts, but never fully broke through in IU’s pitching rotation.

UPDATE: Benes has committed to Lindenwood.

Right-Handed Pitcher Michael Lorenzetti: Lorenzetti transferred to Indiana from Iona prior to the 2025 season but never saw the mound in a game for the Hoosiers.

Infielder Tyler Cerny: Cerny was a three-year starter and one of Indiana’s most consistent hitters during his time in Bloomington. A junior with significant draft buzz, Cerny is a strong candidate to turn professional this summer. Cerny wrapped up the 2025 season hitting .281/.386/.517 with 10 home runs, 14 doubles, and 32 RBIs, while finishing the year at second base after opening as Indiana’s starting shortstop. He also set the program’s all-time record for most hit-by-pitches. Across his Indiana career, Cerny had been an offensive force, slashing .292/.371/.511 with 47 doubles, 30 homers, and 135 RBIs. He earned Third-Team All-Big Ten honors in 2024 and remained a lineup regular in 2025 despite what was considered a modest dip by his own standards.

UPDATE: Cerny has committed to Kentucky.
