Indiana Basketball Game Preview: Milwaukee – key storyline, injury report, how to watch

Indiana basketball continues its 126th season of competition with a non-conference contest against Milwaukee at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The game will be aired on FS1 with Noah Reed and LaPhonso Ellis on the call.
The Hoosiers are coming off a 100-77 win over Marquette on Sunday.
Milwaukee (2-1) is led by fourth-year head coach Burt Lundy. The Panthers have won at least 21 games in each of the previous three seasons, made the Horizon League title game in 2024, and appeared in the CBI in 2023.
Lundy’s team is led by senior guard Seth Hubbard. The Toledo transfer has averaged a team-best 19.3 points per night on 53.8% (21-of-39) shooting from the floor and 53.3% (8-of-15) from behind the 3-point line. Redshirt senior guard Amar Augillard (12.3 points per game) and freshman guard Stevie Elam (10.3) are the other two Panthers in double figures.
Milwaukee makes 10 3-point field goals per game, has shot 39.0% (30-of-77) from distance, and has posted 86.0 points per outing through three games.

Key Storyline for Indiana basketball
Can Indiana basketball defend without fouling?
Indiana basketball is coming off their biggest of this early season so far with the Hoosiers getting a huge 100-77 neutral site win over Marquette on Sunday. While the final score will show that Indiana put on a spectacular offensive showing, one of the bigger stories that came out of Sunday came on the other end of the floor.
Yes, the Hoosiers held Marquette to just 77 points however, there was a major issue that Indiana seemingly struggled with and that came from fouling. In total, Indiana finished with 25 fouls in the game and allowed Marquette to get in the bonus at the 15:27 mark of the first half and then the 14:18 mark of the second half.
With the amount of fouling Indiana showed on Sunday, it slowed the pace of the play in the game and while it was not huge issue in the end, it is something to watch for in future games. Moving forward, Indiana will remain tough and aggressive on the defensive end but they will need to learn how to defend without fouling for the majority of each game.
Indiana has three straight opponents that they should be able to defeat without much trouble. How Indiana plays on the defensive end will be what to watch for.

Matchup History
Indiana and Milwaukee will play on the hardwood for the first time. The Hoosiers hold a 17-6 record against teams competing in the Horizon League. IU last matched up with a Horizon League foe in an 89-80 win against Wright State on Nov. 16, 2023. Kel’el Ware, a first round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, led the Hoosiers with 22 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks in the game.
Indiana basketball Injury Report
Nick Dorn – Dorn missed most of the summer and started to get back to going in fall practices. It has been a steady climb back for him and has recently been able to go full contact in practice. He did warm up with the team vs Alabama A&M and dressed however he did not play. He also did not play vs Marquette. He is questionable vs Milwaukee.
Josh Harris – Harris has an ankle/foot injury that has sidelined him most of the fall. Darian DeVries stated on his radio show that he “will be out for awhile.”
Jason Drake – The transfer guard from Drexel has missed nearly all the offseason for Indiana basketball with a lower body injury. It is unclear at this time how much longer he will be out but all signs point to it being at least the first month of play.
Aleksa Ristic – Ristic developed a lower body injury in the fall which forced him to miss some time with Indiana basketball. It is unclear how long he will be out.
