Indiana basketball lands commitment from Elon guard transfer Nick Dorn

The Indiana basketball program continues to have success over the last few weeks in the transfer portal, this time landing a commitment from Elon transfer Nick Dorn.

Nick Dorn visited Indiana earlier this week. He was receiving interest from North Carolina and Maryland.

Dorn spent the past two seasons at Elon where he played in 55 games (47 starts) and averaged 12.0 points and shot 35.6 percent from three.

This past season Dorn averaged 15.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and shot 35.1 percent from three on 3.0 made 3s a game. He made 74 3s on the season.

He made at least two 3s in 21 of 25 games played and at least three 3s in 13 games. He hit five 3s against North Carolina and Notre Dame.

Dorn scored in double-figures in 22 games this past season, including six games of 20-plus points. 

Dorn’s best game of the season came in a late December win over Marshall, when he posted a career-high 29 points, making six 3s.

Dorn has two seasons of eligibility remaining. He is ranked the No. 136 overall player in the On3 Industry rankings and the No. 38 shooting guard.

Dorn joins West Virginia transfer wing Tucker DeVries, Davidson hybrid forward Reed Bailey, DePaul guard Conor Enright, Sam Houston State guard Lamar Wilkerson, North Florida wing Jasai Miles, Troy transfer Tayton Conerway and Drexel transfer Jason Drake as the current transfer commits for Indiana basketball.
