Indiana basketball has entered the race for one of the top young forwards in the country.

Class of 2027 standout Jeremy Jenkins announced Sunday that he received a scholarship offer from the Hoosiers. The 6-foot-9, 233-pound Miami native currently plays for Overtime Elite’s City Reapers after transferring from Riviera Prep this offseason.

Jenkins, rated as a consensus four-star prospect and the No. 22 overall player in his class by the Rivals Industry Ranking, has quickly built a reputation as one of the most versatile forwards in the country. At Riviera Prep, he helped deliver back-to-back Florida High School Athletic Association state championships, and with Nightrydas Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit, he averaged 12.9 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.4 stocks this summer.

“I’m a big who can do everything on the court,” Jenkins told Rivals last week. “I mean, I can pass, move, play defense, I can do everything to be honest. Over the last six, seven months, I just figured out who I was as a player, to be honest. Like, I’m not a guard and I’m not a five or I’m not a three. I’m a four that can just do everything.”

His growth in skill and confidence has also fueled clarity about what he wants at the next level.

“I want to make sure a coach knows my playing style, and knows how I play,” Jenkins said. “I just want to see a school that can go and let me just be me. Obviously, I want to go into a family-oriented culture. A coach that will keep it honest with me at all times and tell me the real.”

Indiana is the latest program to extend an offer, joining a long list that includes Arizona State, BYU, Florida State, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Maryland, Oklahoma State, Oregon, USC, USF, Villanova, Washington, West Virginia and Miami.

Jenkins is also among the select group of 2027 players invited to USA Basketball’s National Team minicamp in Colorado Springs from Oct. 10-12.

ON3+: Indiana Basketball Player Scouting Report: Chase Branham

Here is a recent scouting report from On3’s Jamie Shaw from Overtime Elite’s Pro Day earlier this month:

Jeremy Jenkins is a unique player, and sometimes, it takes a little bit of time to adjust your scouting lens to be able to adequately wrap your arms around the full nuance of his game. Already ahead of the curve with him, Rivals currently has the forward-ranked No. 15 overall. Jenkins has an obvious physical frame with intriguing size, length, and strength. However, watching him play, the competitive nature is hard to ignore, along with his skill and processing. At Pro Day, Jenkins measured 6-foot-9 (in shoes) and 203.5 pounds with a 6-foot-11.5 wingspan. He averaged 12.9 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 2.4 STOCKS this summer with the Nightrydas program on Nike’s E16 Circuit this summer. He will need to continue streaming his offensive output to find more consistency, but he is an intriguing player when used as an offensive hub at multiple levels.

The Hoosiers have one commitment in the 2027 class so far: Missouri guard Chase Branham.
