Wasatch Academy (UT) four-star guard Junior County has landed a scholarship offer from the Indiana basketball program, he announced.

County is the No. 42 overall player in the On3 Industry Rankings and the No. 7 overall point guard in the 2026 class.

County is a 6-foot-5 point guard who does a little bit of everything on the floor. He has good size and length and is very disruptive on the defensive end. Offensively, he’s a solid shooter and does a good job of orchestrating the offense, but won’t make a ton of ‘home run’ type plays.

At Chipotle Nationals in the spring, County averaged 10.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists a game as Wasatch, the 9-seed, fell to Columbus (Fla.) — the ultimate National Champion — in the quarterfinals.

In 11 games playing for Utah Prospects on the EYBL Circuit, County is averaging 13.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists a game. He’s shooting 34 percent from three (18-of-53). Nine of his 11 appearances this spring have resulted in a game with two or less turnovers.

“Junior County is a bigger guard. He plays with a great pace and is capable of affecting a game in a number of ways,” On3 National Basketball Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw wrote in the spring. “He is not the most dynamic player on the ball, but he takes care of possessions, which brings value. While he is an average athlete, he shot the ball well from three here and finished the weekend with a better than 2:1 assists to turnover.”

He holds offers from Purdue, Houston, Texas A&M, Texas, UConn, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Washington, Cal, Nebraska and others. BYU, Michigan and now Maryland are also involved.

County has taken an official visit to Purdue and Texas A&M, albeit this was with the previous staff. He also took an unofficial visit to Tennessee last month.

“I’m going to look at the culture of the school, how good the family culture is,” County told On3 in the winter. “See which coaching staff really believes in me and that I can trust. I’ll go somewhere I feel like I belong.

“I’ll look at how well the team plays together and how they do defensively. And really if it’s a program that wants to win.”

Indiana has one commitment in the 2026 class in four-star guard Prince-Alexander Moody.
