Hoosiers Dominate UCLA: Postgame Recap with Jim Coyle & Coach Griff

Indiana Football sent a loud message on Saturday with a commanding victory over UCLA in Bloomington. In front of a packed Memorial Stadium, the Hoosiers flexed their muscle on both sides of the ball, controlling the game from start to finish and cruising to a decisive win that keeps their Big Ten momentum rolling.
Quarterback Fernando Mendoza was steady and efficient, guiding the offense with confidence and making the right throws in critical moments. The rushing attack was equally punishing, with Roman Hemby and Kaelon Black combining to wear down the Bruins’ defensive front and keep the chains moving throughout the afternoon.
The Hoosiers’ defense was just as dominant. Indiana’s front seven stuffed UCLA’s rushing attack, holding the Bruins under 100 yards on the ground. The secondary tightened up as the game went on, forcing mistakes and limiting UCLA’s big-play opportunities. By the second half, Indiana had completely dictated the pace, turning the matchup into a showcase of just how far this team has come under Curt Cignetti.
