The College Football Playoff Rankings and bracket are officially out, and Indiana football is the top-ranked team in the country.

It’s the first in program history that Indiana Football has been ranked as the top team in the country.

The Hoosiers had been No. 2 in every release of the rankings, but moved up to number one after taking down the previously top-ranked Buckeyes in the Big Ten Championship.

As the top seed in the playoff, the Hoosiers will have a first-round bye before they play the winner of Oklahoma (8) and Alabama (9).

Indiana Football will face either the Sooners or Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl on January 1st. If the Hoosiers advance, they’ll play in the Peach Bowl on January 9th.

Ohio State (2) and Oregon (5) were the only other Big Ten teams who found a place in the College Football Playoff bracket, with Ohio State also earning a bye.
