Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers’ recent roll on the recruiting trail gained more momentum Tuesday with the commitment of 2026 safety LaRon Dues.

Dues, who announced his commitment on social media, visited Indiana this past weekend. He becomes the fourth 2026 recruit from this past weekend’s group of visitors to pledge to the Hoosiers.

A native of Hurricane, West Virginia, and a standout at Cardinal Mooney High School, Dues is ranked as a three-star recruit, according to On3.

With Dues’ commitment, Indiana’s class of 2026 now features 18 pledges and ranks No. 29 nationally and No. 10 in the Big Ten, according to On3.

Dues is the third 2026 commitment in the secondary for the Hoosiers, joining Kasmir Hicks, the No. 2 overall recruit in Indiana, and four-star Lawrence Timmons. He joins offensive lineman CJ Scifres, tight end Parker Elmore and running back Jayreon Campbell as recruits who committed to Indiana after visiting Bloomington last weekend.
