Indiana football kicked off a pivotal June with a significant addition to its 2026 recruiting class, earning a commitment Monday evening from offensive lineman Kenton Mondeau.

Mondeau, a 6-foot-7, 315-pound lineman from North High School in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, announced his decision via social media, becoming the latest building block in head coach Curt Cignetti’s early efforts to shore up the Hoosiers’ future offensive line.

A three-star prospect, Mondeau is ranked as the No. 5 overall player in Wisconsin and one of the top offensive linemen in the Midwest, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. His commitment marks Indiana’s second offensive line pledge in the 2026 cycle.

Back in March, Mondeau spoke highly of the Hoosiers coming off a visit to Bloomington, emphasizing the warm reception from the coaching staff and the in-depth look he got at the program.

“My experience was awesome,” Mondeau said. “Almost every coach came up to me introduced themselves and made me feel like they really wanted me there. What excites me about the Hoosiers is how great the coaches were, showing me around the whole facility, getting in a car to drive and see the whole campus and what student life looks like. And talking one-on-one with the strength coach was really cool. This all just gave me tons of information on the school and very excited for the future… I liked the visit a lot.”

Mondeau joins fellow Wisconsin native Samuel Simpson, a three-star offensive lineman from River Falls, as Indiana’s second commit along the offensive front for 2026.

Simpson, who committed in early February, is rated as the top player in Wisconsin. With both Simpson and Mondeau on board, Indiana now holds pledges from two of the state’s top five players.

Indiana’s 2026 recruiting class now features 10 members. The group currently ranks No. 32 nationally and No. 12 in the Big Ten, according to On3, as the Hoosiers look to establish early momentum in Cignetti’s first full recruiting cycle.
