IU basketball extends offer to 2028 guard Boogie Cook

Darian DeVries and IU basketball have officially tapped into the 2028 class with their first offer coming on Thursday evening. On Thursday, the Hoosiers offered 2028 wing Boogie Cook of Christian Academy of Louisville (KY).

Boogie Cook is a 6-foot-6 hybrid forward and is a native of Louisville Kentucky. He runs with a very talented Indiana Elite 2028 which also features new IU basketball target Noah Washington (New Albany HS), as well.

Cook is coming off a very strong freshman season for Christian Academy of Louisville which has considered him by many as the top 2028 prospect out the state of Kentucky. He has continued his strong play on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit for Indiana Elite 2028 averaging 10.9 points on 52.0 percent shooting from the field which includes 36.8 percent from deep. He has also added 5.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game this past spring, as well.

Boogie Cook is a versatile wing that plays with great athleticism on the floor. While he does not have a completely fine-tuned skillset as of yet, he has shown promise as a player that can stretch the floor and score at the rim for his 3/4 position. He knows how to play with space which is not often the case with underclassman his age. A ton of potential to be one of the top forwards nationally in the 2028 class when it is all said and done.

By all accounts, IU basketball is the first reported Division I offer for Boogie Cook however the Louisville Cardinals have also been a team that has shown great interest in him as well.
