The TBT IU basketball alumni team, Assembly Ball, continues to add to their roster with newest addition being former Hoosier forward Juwan Morgan.

Juwan Morgan now joins Yogi Ferrell, Jordan Hulls, Race Thompson, Al Durham, James Blackmon Jr. and Troy Williams as the first seven former Hoosiers announced on this year’s squad. Morgan was a part of last year’s team as well.

During his time at IU basketball, Morgan played his first two season under Tom Crean and last two years under Archie Miller. Morgan was named Big Ten Player of the Week three times in his career, set the Crossroads Classic scoring record twice, and posted just the second triple-double in IU basketball history at the time.

BLOOMINGTON, IND. (June 19,  2025) –  Assembly Ball, the Indiana alumni team hosting The Basketball Tournament’s (TBT) regional alongside All Good Dawgs (Butler alumni) at Hinkle Fieldhouse from July 19–22, announced the roster addition of former Hoosier Juwan Morgan.

Morgan joins Yogi Ferrell, Jordan Hulls, Race Thompson, Al Durham, James Blackmon Jr. and Troy Williams as the first seven roster commitments for Assembly Ball. Additional players will be announced in the coming weeks.

Morgan returns to TBT for the second consecutive year after making an immediate impact with Assembly Ball in last summer’s opening round, recording a double-double in their win over The Cru (Valparaiso Alumni).

Morgan spent four seasons at Indiana (2015–2019), where he appeared in 128 games and finished his career ranked in the top ten in program history in rebounds and blocks. A two-time All-Big Ten selection and team captain as a senior, he averaged 15.5 points and 8.2 rebounds in his final season while starting all 35 games. Morgan was named Big Ten Player of the Week three times in his career, set the Crossroads Classic scoring record twice, and posted just the second triple-double in IU history.

After graduation, Morgan has spent three seasons in the NBA, spending most of his time with the Utah Jazz. Morgan made the move overseas in 2023, currently playing for Buducnost Voli in Montenegro.

The winner of the Indianapolis Regional will advance to TBT’s quarterfinals on July 27. The semifinals will be held on July 31, and TBT’s $1 million championship will be played on Aug. 3.
