Live Blog: Final: Minnesota 73, Indiana basketball 64
Indiana basketball begins Big Ten Conference play its 126th season of competition with a game at Minnesota at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Williams Arena in Minneapolis. The league opener will be aired on BTN with Cory Provus, Robbie Hummel, and Andy Katz on the call.
Minnesota (4-4) is led by first-year head coach Niko Medved. The Gophers are led by 22.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 14 made 3-pointers from senior wing Cade Tyson. He is shooting 53.2% (50-of-94) from the field and 81.3% (65-of-80) from the free throw line through eight contests. Junior forward Jaylen Crocker-Johnson is the only other Minnesota player in double figures this season at 12.4 points and a team-best 9.1 rebounds per game. He has blocked nine shots. Senior guard Langston Reynolds (9.8 points per game) and sophomore guard Isaac Asuma (9.3) round out the scoring leaders.
Minnesota is 4-0 inside Williams Arena this season with victories over Gardner-Webb (87-60), Alcorn State (95-50), Green Bay (72-65), and Chicago State (66-54).

Wide open lane for Tayton Conerway leads to a two-hand slam. Hoosiers on the board first. Minnesota would tie it.
Reed Bailey with a nice roll off the pick and Tucker DeVries finds him for the same. Minnesota would take the lead with a three.
Wilkerson drives and gets a floater to take the lead back. He would then pick up his first foul however. Minnesota scored and took the lead.
Conor Enright would draw a shooting foul. He would go 1-2.
Sam Alexis comes and quickly scores off a Wilkerson steal. Hoosiers get a stop and Tayton Conerway hits a deep three.

DeVries misses another three but Alexis rebounds and gets a second chance bucket.
Enright turns over the ball but DeVries makes a nice defensive stop in transition and we go to break.

Conerway explodes in the lane gives Indiana basketball the lead back.
Conerway hits an another three. He is 2-3 from deep thus far.

Sisley checks back in with 2 fouls.
Alexis extends lead to 27-19.
Tucker DeVries gets the steal but somewhat jobs on the fast break and gets blocked. Very odd play by him.

Wilkerson gets fouled and he goes 2-2 at the line.
Strong take by Reed Bailey gets him to the line. He goes 2-2.
Cade Tyson hits a three to tie the game at 33. Tucker DeVries misses a three at the buzzer.

Wilkerson with a strong drives gets him to the line. He goes 1-2.
Another steal by Conerway gets him fouled in transition. He goes 0-2 at the line however.

What a play! DeVries misses a three, Sisley then pops the ball up and Alexis catches it for the slam.
Three by Minnesota ties it at 43. They would then hit a three to take the lead.

Wilkerson backdoor cuts the lead down to three.
Wilkerson hits a much-needed three to cut the lead down to 5. He then gets a clean block on the defensive end. Sisley missed a three, however.
Hoosiers get a stop and then DeVries hits a three. 53-51 Minnesota. Timeout Minnesota with 7:47 left.
