Live Blog: Final - Indiana basketball 76, Baylor 74

Indiana basketball is ready for their 2nd exhibition game of the fall preseason with the Hoosiers travel a little up north to face Baylor at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Hoosiers are coming off a dominant exhibition win over Marion last week.
The Bears are led by head coach Scott Drew, who is set to begin his 24th season in Waco. BU brings in seven total transfers in fifth-year senior guard Obi Agbim (Wyoming), junior center Juslin Bodo Bodo (High Point), senior center Caden Powell (Rice), senior guard Michael Rataj (Oregon State), senior guard Daniel Skillings (Cincinnati), fifth-year senior guard JJ White (Omaha), and sophomore guard Isaac Williams IV (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi). Baylor also landed a highly-touted freshman class including consensus five-star forward Tounde Yessoufou and Andre Iguodala II, son of four-time NBA Champion and 2015 NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala.
The contest will be streamed on B1G+ with tipoff is set for 1 PM ET.

Conor Enright would start the game off with two defensive rebounds. Baylor would get on the board first after Lamar Wilkerson picked up a shooting foul.
Reed Bailey would get Indiana basketball on the board with a slam. Sisley would be the first off the bench for Tayton Conerway.
Conor Enright starting the game off pretty well for Indiana on the defensive end.
Wilkerson would get a bucket plus the foul but would roll up his ankle pretty well before the break. Looked to be in a good amount of pain.

Hoosiers start to go on a little run and get the energy picked up a bit. Baylor would respond hitting their next 5 FGs.
Lamar Wilkerson has not attempted a three yet this game but he is doing a very good job of being versatile and attacking the basket.
Has drawn a few fouls and 5-5 from the line.

Wilkerson missed a three and midrange jumper but had a nice cut to the basket and scored off an assist from Tucker DeVries. Wilkerson up to 9 points so far.
Enright would pick up his 2nd foul.
Indiana up to 4 turnovers. Offense has not been smooth so far.
Tucker DeVreis would hit Indiana’s first three of the game. Hoosiers just 1-6 however Baylor is 1-5.
Baylor winning the rebound battle 13-6 right now.

Hoosiers start to get on a run. Cut the lead down to 6 heavier Baylor hit a three and then had a dunk to extend the lead back to 9.
Wilkerson would hit his first three of the game. Tucker DeVries would pick up a shooting foul.

10/26/2025 12:52:15 PMHoosiers open up with Sam Alexis getting a bucket plus the foul. Really nice assist from DeVries.
Indiana cuts the lead down to 38-32. Picking up the aggressiveness a bit more.
Wilkerson draws two charges in this final session. He has played well on both ends this half.
Enright would get a steal off an inbounds however DeVries would miss a half court shot. We head to halftime.

Lamar Wilkerson nails a three to start off the half. Was a very deep three.
Turnover Baylor leads to a Reed Bailey bucket. Indiana down just two now. Energy has really picked up now. Tayton Conerway would follow it up with a wide open lane that led to a dunk.
Hoosiers open up the second half with much more energy and a faster pace and with that, they tie things up with Baylor at 43.
Scott Drew called timeout at the 17:12 mark.
DeVries picks up his 2nd foul. Wilkerson would hit a three and then give Indiana the 46-45 lead.

10/26/2025 01:32:18 PMHoosiers up 52-47 now off a big slam by Sam Alexis. Darian DeVries has ran some beautiful inbounds sets this game.
Baylor is on a 2:07 scoring drought. Indiana’s defensive intensity has been very high the second half.
There may not be a ton of fans here for this game, but man, this place is loud. Hoosiers have completely taken over this game. 12-2 run over the last 4:13 and lead 55-47. Scott Drew calls another timeout at the 12:35 mark.
Wilkerson picks up his 4th foul.

Indiana basketball in the bonus now. over 10 min still left in this game.
Conerway with a nice recover play. Had a fast break layup blocked then got his own rebound. Moved the ball around a bit and it eventually found him for the corner three. He has played so well this second half.
Enright would pick up his 4th foul. We head to the under-8 media timeout.

10/26/2025 01:53:51 PMBaylor climbs back into this one and cuts the leads down to just 64-60. Indiana basketball on a 2:25 scoring drought and Darian Devries calls a timeout at the 5:59 mark.
Sam Alexis breaks a 3:10 scoring drought for Indiana. Hoosiers back up 4.

10/26/2025 01:55:38 PMLamar Wilkerson picked up his 5th foul however they are playing with 6 fouls with this being an exhibition.
Baylor would take the lead at the 2:00 mark. Wilkerson would take a very deep three and miss.
Conerway got fouled and would 2-2 at the line to tie it back up.
Strong drive from Wilkerson would get back to the line. Hoosiers would get a stop prior to that. Wilkerson would go 2-2 at the line to give Indiana basketball the 72-70 lead with 1:29 left.
Baylor three gives the Bears the lead back.
Baseline jumper from DeVries gives Indiana the lead back.
Sam Alexis would get a foul called on him at the 12.2 mark which would send Baylor to the line. They would go 1-2 and the tie.
Tayton Conerway gets the bucket plus the foul at the 8.4 second mark. He would miss the free throw but Baylor could not get a bucket before the final buzzer. Indiana holds onto win 76-74.
