Prince-Alexander Moody -- rising 2026 combo guard -- commits to Indiana

2026 combo guard Prince-Alexander Moody has announced his commitment to the Indiana basketball program.
He took a visit to Indiana the final week of June.
Other programs involved in the recruitment of Prince-Alexander Moody were Vanderbilt, VCU, Virginia Tech, Georgetown, Virginia and Maryland.
“He fills a lot of the blanks,” On3 National Basketball Analyst Jamie Shaw said of Moody. “He’s a connecting piece as a guy who can play a little on the ball but you want him off the ball as well. He elevates the floor of a team and can defend multiple positions with his length and tenacity. He’s a really good piece that you can do a lot of different things around depending on how you want to build your lineups.”
Playing for Team Takeover on the Nike EYBL circuit, he’s averaging 12.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.0 steals this summer.
Indiana assistant coach Kenny Johnson has deep ties to the DMV area as well as Team Takeover — which is why Indiana has made a quick, early move on Moody.

Johnson spent over six years as a director for Team Takeover earlier in his career.
“The man that started it all was Kenny (Johnson),” Moody told On3 about Indiana’s recruitment of him. “He’s been family since I met him and has been recruiting me since 7th grade. He changed my life basically.”
Moody is ranked the No. 104 player in the On3 Industry Rankings and the No. 27 shooting guard in the 2026 class.
Moody is the first 2026 commitment for Darian DeVries and Indiana.
“The 6-foot-4 wing was easily one of players that impressed me the most the entire weekend in Memphis. He is a three-and-D, two-way type player and showed me that’s his long term potential at the college level,” TheHoosier.com’s Kyler Staley wrote earlier this spring. “His offense is mostly knocking down the outside jumper on Team Takeover but is also someone that can and will mix it up around the rim as well. Behind the arc, he is really good at creating space both on and off the ball to get look from deep. He uses screens and has strong dribble pull-up skills. Defensive wise, his length, skill, and instincts make him tough on that end. Showed versatility as a defender while also doing a great job in passing lanes and picking the defender’s pocket.”
