In his first weekend as an Indiana basketball commit, Bishop McNamara (Md.) 6-foot-3 guard Prince-Alexander Moody did not disappoint during the live evaluation period.

After a strong performance last weekend during the first DMV Live period when he averaged 18.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists a game while shooting 46.4 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from three, Moody put together another strong weekend.

In four games this weekend he averaged 15.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists a game while shooting 38 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from three. While his shot wasn’t as efficient as the first session, his playmaking was.

Moody had a 2.71 assist to turnover ratio, and had two games with zero turnovers.

Fresh off of his commitment on Friday afternoon, the first game for Moody was 17 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three steals and zero turnovers in 29 minutes. He had that performance in front of Indiana head coach Darian DeVries and assistant coach Kenny Johnson.

DeVries and Johnson saw three of Moody’s four games in some combination of either both courtside or one of the two on site.

His four games on the weekend were:

Game One: 17 points (6-of-16 FG / 3-of-5 3pt), 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 0 turnovers.

Game Two: 8 points (2-of-10 FG / 1-of-7 3pt), 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 0 turnovers

Game Three: 14 points (6-of-12 FG / 2-of-6 3pt), 3 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals, 4 turnovers

Game Four: 21 points (7-of-18 FG / 3-of-9 3pt), 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 3 turnovers

Moody can play both on and off the ball but continues to develop as a main playmaker and point guard at the next level. His passing ability and overall playmaking skillset continues to grow and has been on display both the last two sessions at DMV Live, as well as on the Nike EYBL Circuit with Team Takeover.

In two sessions at DMV Live, he finished with averages of 16.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists a game. He shot 42 percent (47-of-112) from the field and 36 percent (16-of-45) from three.

He finished DMV Live with a 2.24 assist to turnover ratio in eight games over the past two weekends.

Prince-Alexander Moody is also averaging 12.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.0 steals this summer with Team Takeover.

“He fills a lot of the blanks,” On3 National Basketball Analyst Jamie Shaw said. “He’s a connecting piece as a guy who can play a little on the ball but you want him off the ball as well. He elevates the floor of a team and can defend multiple positions with his length and tenacity. He’s a really good piece that you can do a lot of different things around depending on how you want to build your lineups.”

“I’m a versatile point guard,” Moody told On3. “I just do whatever it takes to win and IU will be getting a leader who literally does whatever it takes to win. Whether that’s scoring 40 or having 10 and 12 assists or having 9 points 12 assists and 10 rebounds, whatever it is, I’m gonna make sure I give my all to win the game.”

Moody is ranked as the No. 104 overall player in the class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He’s the No. 27 shooting guard and the No. 5 player in Maryland.
