Report: Indiana basketball to play three exhibition games in August in Puerto Rico

Sources have confirmed to TheHoosier.com that Indiana basketball will be in action before the season officially starts with the team traveling to Puerto Rico to play three exhibition games.

Indiana will be on their Puerto Rico trip from August 5-12. They will play their games on 8/6, 8/9, and 8/11 vs BC Mega and the Puerto Rico All-Star team.

Indiana last went on a preseason exhibition out-of-state trip four years ago before Mike Woodson’s first season as head coach in the Bahamas. The Hoosiers played in the Bahamas last season in the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament, as well.

Per NCAA rules, teams can play outside of the United States in exhbition games every four years.

This will be the first chance fans can see this new look Indiana basketball team as the Darien DeVries era officially kicks off.
