Gavin Stecker makes college decision
Class of 2027 linebacker Gavin Stecker has made his college decision. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Bettendorf native announced today that has accepted a scholarship offer from the Iowa coaching staff and will play for the Hawkeyes.
“I’m extremely excited,” Stecker told HawkeyeReport.com. “It is a big decision for me and my family.”
A four-star prospect ranked among the top 300 players in the country in his class, Stecker chose Iowa over scholarship offers from Iowa State, Minnesota, Kansas, and Kansas State.
“I think with all the coaching changes in college football, seeing Iowa’s stability through this made it the right time,” said Stecker.
