Five Kansas State players were named to the All-Big 12 teams Thursday by the Big 12 coaches, the league announced. Center Sam Hecht was named First Team All Big 12 with tackle John Pastore and linebacker Austin Romaine named to the second team. Running back Joe Jackson and wide receiver Jayce Brown were named to the third team.

For Hecht, this is his second season as an All Conference member. He was named Second Team All-Big 12 a season ago in his first season as the starting center for Kansas State. The Mill Valley product was also named Honorable Mention Offensive Lineman of the Year this season.

Pastore is a first time all league selection after his first season as the starting left tackle for the Wildcats. This season is back-to-back seasons for Romaine being named Second Team all league. The junior linebacker was second on K-State with 66 tackles despite missing the final three games of the regular season.

Jackson was also thrust into his first starts of his career this season and ends up on the third team by the leagues coaches. The Florida native finished the regular season with 911 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. Jackson finished the season on a tear with 435 yards and six touchdowns. A bit surprisingly, this year is the first time Brown has been honored by the leagues coaches. Kansas State wide receiver Jaron Tibbs, tight end Garrett Oakley, defensive tackle Damian Ilalio, defensive ends Chiddi Obiazor and Cody Stufflebean, linebacker Desmond Purnell, safety VJ Payne and corner Zashon Rich were all named Honorable Mention by the leagues coaches along with hecht being named honorable mention Offensive Lineman of the Year.
