Jayce Brown plans to leave Kansas State, enter transfer portal
Kansas State’s biggest transfer portal domino to date has fallen. Wide receiver Jayce Brown will enter the transfer portal after three seasons in the program.
Brown quickly became the top receiving target at K-State as a true freshman, grabbing 27 catches for 437 yards, most of that coming in the last half of the season.
In 2024 he led the Wildcats in receiving with 823 yards and 47 catches, along with five touchdowns. The expectation was that his 2025 junior campaign would be even greater than that, and it was on track to be.
Brown was able to play in just over nine games this season due to a season-ending injury he sustained in the win at Oklahoma State in the first half. He ended the year with 41 catches, 712 yards and five touchdowns.

The Florida native delivered in some of the bigger moments during his time at K-State, including a 50-yard game-winning touchdown at Colorado in 2024. This past season, he caught four passes for 160 yards and a touchdown in a blowout win over rival Kansas.
Brown ranks eighth all-time in receiving yards at K-State.
As it stands right now, just one of Kansas State’s top three wide receivers from this past season will be back in 2026 (Jaron Tibbs).
