Kansas State defensive end Ryan Davis entering transfer portal
Kansas State has lost its second member of the defense for the day. Ryan Davis, a young defensive end from Arizona, is following in the same path as Donovan McIntosh, who announced his intentions earlier in the day as well.
Davis generated a large amount of offseason buzz from fellow players and coaches at K-State. But when the season started, it was slow going for Davis. He appeared on the injury report early and then eventually got on the field for his homecoming to Arizona, which saw him get flagged for a 15-yard personal foul. It wouldn’t be his last.

His play started to pick up in the final month of the season. Davis recorded a sack in the win over Kansas, as well as deflecting two passes. He earned Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors for his performance in a 14-6 win over Oklahoma State, where he got to the quarterback for a sack and forced a fumble.
But he was ejected from the game in Salt Lake City against Utah for a late hit with targeting, which ultimately led to Utah scoring a crucial touchdown on the drive. Davis ended his season with his most prolific game, recording six tackles and two sacks against Colorado.
The aggressive defensive end who can run hot and cold will have two years of eligibility remaining.
