Nuggets: Notes on the Kansas State search for TE coach

Nuggets on Kansas State (in terms of inside intel) is relegated to our message board at KSO but still spills out the best information on the Wildcats in the market. The offseason never ends, just when you think it has stopped.
Due to Conor Riley leaving his K-State post as offensive coordinator and offensive line coach, there are hires to be made in Manhattan. A few already have occurred, thanks to promotions for both Matt Wells and Brian Lepak.
Primary play-caller and offensive coordinator is decided. Kansas State has their offensive line coach with Lepak. But since an internal promotion seems off the table, Chris Klieman and the Wildcats will look externally for the next tight ends coach.
We share what we know about the interview process, including one that took place on Thursday.

K-State signed a large high school and junior college class in December. They had many spots to fill and signed a bunch. It was a class that ranked in the top 40. However, we have learned that one will not make it to Manhattan and play for the Wildcats after all.

LINK: One signee will not enroll at Kansas State
The march to 105 continues. K-State is still a bit heavy and will have to cut around 20-25 players between now and training camp. It will be a gradual process, but we have learned that an offensive lineman is no longer expected to stick with the program.
