What I'm hearing: A Kansas State injury report

What we’re hearing on Kansas State (in terms of inside intel) is relegated to our message board at KSO but still spills out the best information on the Wildcats in the market, both from a team and K-State recruiting standpoint.
It is also brought to you by Aer Lingus – which have the travel packages for you if you want to see Kansas State take on Iowa State in Ireland in 2025. Make sure to visit Cats2Ireland.com today and check out the opportunities.
A headliner that transferred into K-State in the offseason is safety Gunner Maldonado. Unfortunately, the two-time Arizona captain was dinged up last season and missed a chunk. It required surgery, and he’s still in recovery mode.
We received news on when he will be available.

The Wildcats have fulfilled an offseason need in April by addressing the offensive line when they secured the services of Penn State transfer JB Nelson. We know they also want to bolster the backfield a bit. Where do they stand in that pursuit?
