[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="1200"] (CLIVE ROSE/GETTY IMAGES)[/caption] Red Gerad, a 17-year old, wins the United States their first gold medal at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. For the second Winter Olympics, the first United States medal has come in men's snowboard slopestyle. Gerad pulled off the upset after sitting in last place heading into the third and final run. But the inexperienced 17-year-old delivered for the United States. Gerard scored a 87.16 from the judges in his final run, putting him in first place. Gerard is the youngest American to win Olympic snowboarding medal. The best part of this story is that his family was chugging beers at 8:30 in the morning. https://twitter.com/AdamKilgoreWP/status/962532778016477184 U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!
