I'm currently typing this post from my phone at a Starbucks in Sweden, so this will be relatively brief. In spite of that, it's a big day for UK and college hoops in general, so be sure to stay tuned to the site for coverage. It's Selection Sunday The time has come. After months of speculating, we will finally know UK's path to the championship when the selection committee releases the bracket this evening. Joe Lunardi has Kentucky as a 3 seed in his latest bracketology, which means the committee will probably give them a 6. UK to face Texas A&M in SEC Title The Cats will have a shot of redeeming their overtime loss to Texas A&M this afternoon. Oddsmakers have deemed Kentucky a 4 point favorite and Pat Adams isn't refereeing, so you have to like the UK's chances of bringing home their 29th SEC tournament title. Unfortunately, the game will have no bearing on UK's seeding. But let's win it any way. Louisville will not make the tournament Let's stop and appreciate this. Due to their self-imposed postseason ban, the Cards will not be among the 68 teams whose names are called tonight. Feels good, man.
