Parker Meese has been talking with Kentucky football associate head coach Vince Marrow for about a month now. On Wednesday night, Meese was officially extended a scholarship offer from the Wildcats — and he’s already looking forward to visiting Lexington.

Coach Marrow was awesome. I can’t wait to meet him in person. Can’t wait to visit,” Meese told KSR on Wednesday night shortly after picking up his UK offer.

A class of 2025 linebacker out of Dallas, TX, Meese isn’t a typical target for the Kentucky staff, which only occasionally dips into the Longhorn State. But Marrow is showing plenty of interest and even plans to visit Meese at his Parish Episcopal School next week to watch him go through spring ball.

Meese is just a rising junior, but he already boasts an impressive offer sheet. He’s earned scholarships from the likes of Texas A&M, Arkansas, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Michigan, and plenty more. Clocking in as a 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker, he’s going to be a big-time target moving forward.

Considering he’s from Texas, you wouldn’t expect Meese to know much about the Wildcats, but the staff has been getting him up to speed.

“Really about the Kentucky program and what they have to offer over other SEC schools,” Meese said about his conversations so far with Marrow. “They have an amazing coaching staff and have a great reputation of putting players into the league.”

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, only Rivals has Meese as a nationally-ranked recruit, slotting him as a four-star prospect and the 226th-best player from the ’25 class. But as his recruitment continues to boom, expect other services to follow suit with similar rankings. Meese was named a 2022 MaxPreps Sophomore All-American and helped lead Parish Episcopal to a Texas state title victory in 2022. He totaled 70 tackles this past season for the four-time defending champions.
