On Friday, three-star athlete Daune Morris included the Kentucky Wildcats in his Top 10 group of finalists. But on Saturday, he unofficially visited Southern California. By Sunday, he was a Trojan.

Morris announced his commitment to USC earlier this afternoon, becoming the 10th class of 2025 commitment for Lincoln Riley’s program. Clocking in at 5-foot-10, 180 pounds, Morris is considered the No. 495 overall high school junior in the country and the 17th-best junior from the state of Tennessee by the On3 Industry Ranking.

It was reported that Morris was expected to take a handful of official visits this summer before making an announcement (Kentucky among the choices), but a weekend trip to Los Angeles was enough to send him out west ahead of time. Morris chose USC over the likes of UK, Louisville, Florida, Auburn, Colorado, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Missouri, and Texas A&M.

Morris even held a relationship with Kentucky freshman quarterback Cutter Boley. The two played 7-on-7 together over the years and remain close friends. While that connection didn’t pay off right now, considering how the transfer portal works, it could be something to keep in mind down the road.

Listed as an athlete, Morris is a versatile offensive weapon. He can play suit up at wide receiver, running back, or even in the Wildcat. At Oakland High School, he was named a Tennessee Titans Class 6A Mr. Football finalist as a junior behind 2,012 rushing yards and 565 receiving yards for 36 total touchdowns.
