4-star CB Dawayne Galloway visiting Kentucky for Auburn game

Four-star cornerback Dawayne Galloway decommitted from Purdue on Oct. 6. He’ll be in Lexington this weekend for an unofficial visit to see Kentucky in action, reports On3’s Steve Wiltfong.
Soon after Galloway announced his decision to back off from his Purdue commitment, Kentucky was one of the first schools to reach out. The likes of Illinois, West Virginia, Penn State, Colorado, Miami (FL), Wisconsin, and Michigan have also been in talks with the 6-foot, 170-pound defensive back. Galloway took a visit to Illinois over the weekend.
This will be a return trip to UK for Galloway, who took an official visit back in June and an unofficial visit in February. The Wildcats host Auburn on Saturday night at Kroger Field. Galloway is considered the No. 210 overall recruit from the 2025 class by the On3 Industry Ranking.

Kentucky has put in plenty of legwork with Galloway. Associate head coach Vince Marrow has been all over Galloway since last fall when Marrow extended him an offer back in Sept. 2023. UK cracked Galloway’s Top 12 this past February and was among the final four before he ultimately chose Purdue in July over UK, Syracuse, and West Virginia.
The Wildcats currently have 20 commits — two of which were added last week — from the class of 2025 on board, a group that ranks 23rd in the country and 12th in the SEC. Another could be on the way as soon as Tuesday when four-star tight end Mikkel Skinner announces his commitment to one of UK, South Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, or Ohio State.
