4-star Florida State RB commit schedules official visit to Kentucky
A highly-rated Florida State football commit is keeping his options open.
And one of those potential options is the Kentucky Wildcats. On3 reports that four-star running back Amari Thomas has scheduled an official visit to check out UK’s campus the weekend of June 14. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound ball carrier — committed to the Seminoles since January — has also locked in OVs with South Carolina (May 30), Kansas State (June 6), and Florida State (June 20).
The On3 Industry Ranking considers Thomas, who hails from Marianna, FL, as the 340th-best overall prospect and 25th-best running back from the class of 2026.

Thomas received an offer from Kentucky in May 2024 via running backs/special teams coach Jay Boulware. Other SEC schools such as Florida, Auburn, and Ole Miss have also reached out with scholarships. But Seminoles head coach Mike Norvell made Thomas a priority target early on in the process. He was offered by FSU in March 2024 and has been on a handful of unofficial visits to Tallahassee ahead of his official in June.
Kentucky has one commit on board in the 2026 cycle so far: four-star OL Jarvis Strickland out of Paducah Tilghman (KY). Boulware and company will have a chance to add a talented running back behind Strickland to that group this summer.
