5-star class of 2023 SF Kwame Evans Jr. begins official visit to Kentucky

It seems like every weekend now there’s a different five-star basketball recruit in Lexington. That trend doesn’t appear to be slowing down, either.
Up next is Kwame Evans Jr., a five-star small forward from the class of 2022 ranked by On3 as the 4th best player in the country. According to multiple reports, Evans’ official visit to Kentucky began on Thursday and will continue throughout the weekend.
The 6-foot-8, 190-pounder will play his junior season of high school at Montverde Academy down in Florida. He was previously at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in Maryland.

Evans doesn’t currently hold an offer from head coach John Calipari and Kentucky, but if history tells us anything, that might not be the case for long. Two other five-star prospects from the class of 2023, Mookie Cook and Robert Dillingham, picked up offers from Kentucky shortly after wrapping their official visits.
Evans, Cook, and Dillingham join an impressive list of recent visitors for Kentucky: five-stars D.J. Wagner, Mackenzie Mgbako, and J.J. Taylor have all been on the Lexington campus over the last few weeks, along with four-star Reed Sheppard.
John Calipari is hitting the recruiting trail with revenge on the mind.
