5 Things on every Kentucky fans Christmas wish list
Christmas time is finally here and there are a few things that are sure to be on every Kentucky fans wish list…
1. Win over Louisville
Only three days after Christmas, the Louisville Cardinals will step into a legendary basketball palace known as Rupp Arena to play Kentucky. This will be the biggest game of each team's regular season and losing is an embarrassing and devastating failure that will be brought up among the two fan bases until next December. Whether you watch it live in Rupp or around the T.V. with friends and family, a UofL loss is an amazing Christmas gift for every UK fan.
2. Myles Turner in Kentucky blue
After reeling in some big names and losing some big name recruits as well, Myles Turner stands as the lone recruit left in Kentucky's sight that is yet to commit. In next year’s class that is loaded with big man talent, Myles Turner is sitting at the 2nd overall spot in the ESPN 100. What Kentucky fan wouldn't want this stud down low to be in the Bluegrass with the rest of next year's great freshmen class.
3. The twins to return to campus next season
Yes we all want Julius Randle, James Young, and WCS to return for another season, but that's highly unlikely. We expect Lee, Poythress, and Johnson to return, but how about another season with the twins in Kentucky blue. Plus neither one looks to be able to have an immediate impact on the professional level so it makes since for us as well as them. But, if we want the next wish to come true we need the twins to finish the season the way Marquis Teague and Doron Lamb finished the 2012 season.
4. An SEC Championship
Kentucky, by far has more SEC Championships than any other school, but that doesn't mean there isn't room for one more. Kentucky fell short of reaching that feat the last two seasons and a third consecutive premature exit in the SEC tourney would be heartbreaking. What better way to start this teams March Madness run than to hang another SEC Championship banner in Rupp.
5. A 9th National Championship
Finally on the list is Kentucky's 9th National Championship. This is a absolute must on every Kentucky fans Christmas list which would be good for Kentucky's 2nd Championship in three years. Of course this is a long way off but this is the ultimate goal for this team and anything less than a 9th banner would be considered a failure for this season.
This seems like a pretty realistic wish list if you are a Cats fan. What do you think?
