A Grateful Drake Jackson Receives his All-American Jersey

Drake was nervous before this afternoon's ceremony.  Even though he's a great speaker, he didn't want to stutter during his speech.  After all, he'd been waiting a long time to receive this honor. Drake is very familiar with the U.S. Army All-American game.  His older brother played in their first nationwide middle school all-star event.  Drake returned as an 8th grader, with the goal of joining the big boys as a Senior in high school.  "It's a dream come true," he said after the ceremony. He's made it, along with one of the guys he befriended at the game as an 8th-grader, Kash Daniel.  They told each other four years ago, "We're going to try to get this level again when we're in high school, and hopefully play in the same college."  It's kinda funny that it's exactly how things worked out, "Looking back, it's pretty funny because both of those dreams came true."     Along with Drake and Kash, Landon Young will receive his jersey on Monday, stopping by to support his future teammate today. [caption id="attachment_187155" align="alignnone" width="600"] Landon and Drake, Kentucky's future offensive line. [/caption] Drake thanked many people for helping him through the process, his family, his coach Dennis Johnson, and of all people, Ryan Lemond.  He was appreciative of the opportunities has Ryan given him to take the first step towards a career in broadcasting. A huge KSR congrats goes out to Drake.  We're excited to see it all go down in the Alamo Dome this January.
