Northern Illinois commit Aaden Aytch will take official visit to Kentucky

Lafayette (Ind.) Jefferson EDGE Aaden Aytch committed to Northern Illinois on April 16. That commitment could be changing soon. Kentucky is making a push for the unranked prospect.
Aytch now has an official visit locked in with the Wildcats in June. Defensive analyst Nate Fuqua is assisting in this recruitment for the Wildcats.
The MAC commit is yet another EDGE prospect that Kentucky is pursuing in the 2026 cycle. Four-star Asharri Charles, four-star Jackson Ford, and three-star Elijah Satchell are all expected on campus in June for official visits. Kentucky currently has six scholarship outside linebackers on the roster but Kent State transfer Kam Olds is entering his final season of eligibility.

Kentucky offered Aayden Aytch on May 21 when defensive coordinator Brad White reached out to the prospect. The Cats then got an official visit scheduled one week later. Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota, Purdue, and Rutgers have all issued scholarship offers in May. Aytch will take an official visit to Minnesota this weekend. Kentucky is currently scheduled to get the next stop. The prospect will be on the UK campus as the same time as tailback Delvecchio Alston II, linebacker Adam Balogoun-Ali, cornerback J.T. Barlow, safety Darnell Collins, linebacker Justin Edwards, wide receiver Keymian Henderson, wide receiver Larry Miles, linebacker Max Mohring, and tailback Amari Thomas-Clemons. That is setting up to become possibly the biggest recruiting weekend of the year for the program.
A new EDGE target has emerged for the Wildcats.
