Add Lance Ware to the injury report

We have one small update to Kentucky Basketball’s growing preseason injury report.
At the end of Big Blue Madness, John Calipari took the microphone to thank the fans in attendance for showing up in support of the Wildcats. But tucked in his brief comments to the crowd, Calipari also announced junior forward Lance Ware has a minor injury that kept him from participating.
“Lance will be out four, five days,” Calipari said. “But he’ll be fine.”
Calipari did not disclose any further information about what is keeping Ware out, but Ware is currently out temporarily and “will be fine,” according to his coach.

In other injury news, Oscar Tshiebwe was really moving slow on his crutches during the player introductions at Big Blue Madness. Earlier in the week, Calipari tweeted, “I kept him out of practice Saturday with knee stuff. He refused to sit out Pro Day and balled out. I made him sit out Monday and get examined as a precaution. He’s going to have a minor 15-minute procedure to clean some things up.”
It may not be a big deal, but it’s a big enough deal that Tshiebwe could only stand at the top of the steps to wave to the crowd.
