Adebayo named to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award Watch List

852a4774 Make it three Kentucky freshmen in the preseason running for the Naismith Hall of Fame's college basketball awards. First it was De'Aaron Fox on the Bob Cousy watch list and then Malik Monk on the Jerry West list, and now Bam Adebayo is one of 20 players on the watch list for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award, which honors the top center in the nation. Here are your preseason candidates:

The watch list for the 2017 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award will be narrowed down to just 10 in mid-February. In March, five finalists will be presented to Abdul-Jabbar and the Hall of Fame’s selection committee, before the winner is presented at the ESPN College Basketball Awards Show in Los Angeles on April 7.
