College Football 26 was released earlier this month and people are getting out the sticks across the country to play the super popular video game. This is an introduction for many fans in the Big Blue Nation to the 2025 Kentucky football team. Unfortunately, Kentucky punter Aidan Laros got some attention during the pre-release of the game for all of the wrong reasons.

Some how, some way, the former FCS transfer was given a zero toughness rating. Laros was the only player in the entire game to receive a donut in that category. Well, Laros is determined to fix that.

The specialist has gone to work in Lexington. This is how you internet.

In a social media video published by UK on Wednesday, Aidan Laros is shown at the Nutter Field House with wide receiver Ja’Mori Maclin. Similar to the famous Happy Gilmore scene where Adam Sandler jumps in the batting cage to take body shots from the pitching machine to help him toughen up for hockey tryouts, Laros hops in front of the jugs machine to build up some toughness.

“Three hundred and sixty-four days until next year’s college video game. Gotta toughen up”

Now this absolutely rules.

Aidan Laros transferred to Kentucky in 2024 after two seasons at Charlotte and one at UT Martin. The former FCS All-American averaged 45.4 yards per punt in 2024. That ranked inside the top 15 nationally. The South Africa native enters the season with high expectations and also serves as a kickoff specialist for the Wildcats.

Kentucky’s starting punter is determined to prove that he has some toughness.

The Big Blue Drum will never die

Over the last week or so, we have seen what is included in the latest version of this video game series. The game’s developers are not ready to quit the “Go Big Blue” drum.

At the spring game in 2019, Kentucky experimented with this drum but we haven’t seen it since. Yet, EA Sports is not ready to get it out of the game yet. The one-time wonder at Kroger Field is alive and well in the video game world.
