Alabama CB Khyree Jackson sets Decision Date

A trip to beautiful Lexington, Kentucky can provide clarity, particularly for the best college football prospects in America. It appears one talented athlete that started his career at Alabama had an epihany while visiting Kentucky this weekend.
Khyree Jackson was one of Kentucky’s surprise official visitors for the final weekend of the contact recruiting period. Only hours after we learned he was in Lexington, he shared that he has a decision to make. Jackson took to Instagram to share that he will pick either Oregon or Kentucky this Sunday.
If you read between the lines, Kentucky appears to be in a good spot. He used more pictures from his visit to UK than Oregon in his post and announced a decision while still in Lexington.
A former four-star prospect, Khyree Jackson was the top-ranked Junior College player in America when he committed to Alabama in 2021. During his two seasons in Tuscaloosa, the East Mississippi CC product (from Last Chance U fame) played just under 200 snaps, recording 14 tackles and two pass breakups. The transfer played a career-high 59 snaps in the National Championship Game against Georgia to end the 2021 season.

Jackson appeared in nine games this season for the Tide and started in Week 2 against Texas, but was suspended by head coach Nick Saban in November. The transfer will be a redshirt senior in 2023.
Following the unexpected departure of Carrington Valentine, Kentucky will lose its two starting cornerbacks at the conclusion of the 2022 season. Searching for more reinforcements, the Wildcats already got one big cornerback in JQ Hardaway. Jackson is another big cornerback (6-foot-3, 200 pounds) who’s played in big-time college football games.
Khyree Jackson may not be the only transfer portal player committing to Kentucky this weekend. Stay tuned…
