Alert the Frauleins - It's Need-to-Know Wednesday!

by:C.M. Tomlin03/14/07
Friends, There's a old saying that states "A man who drives a forklift is noble. A man who drives a forklift in Germany is brave." You've probably heard it. It's all over the place. Especially in German forklifting schools, where people tend to care a lot more about forklifting sayings. But that's where this adage began to ring especially true to me, for during a recent flight to Frankfurt to escape extradition for heading up a ring of bootlegged Norbit DVDs, I donned a ridiculous moustache and went underground as a layman in the Hinterland. There I learned a great deal from my new friends, who never questioned me or my moustache, accepting me warmheartedly into their fold. Among the things I learned there is the basis for your Need-to-Know Wednesday today, which I strongly suggest you sit through lest you miss any of the subtle nuances of German forklift operation. Trust me. You'll thank me for this someday. That is all.
