Kentucky target Amante Martin commits to TCU
Kentucky got on the board at tailback in the 2026 cycle when Deuce Alston II committed to the Cats on June 18. However, there were some other tailback targets that UK got on campus for an official visit in June. One came off the board on Independence Day.
Port Arthur (Texas) Memorial tailback Amante Martin has committed to TCU.
Kentucky was the first power conference program to get the three-star recruit on campus but Oklahoma State and TCU then made a push for Martin. That ended with the tailback deciding to stay in-state and continue his football career in Ft. Worth.
The Cats currently have 14 commits in the 2026 class. We could see another addition or new over the next few days with quarterback Matt Ponatoski, EDGE Elijah Satchell, and linebacker Adam Balogoun-Ali set to make decisions. Will UK add another running back? SirPaul Cheeks is now the only uncommitted tailback who visited Lexington in June.
