davisandmkg Last night, Damian Lillard was named Rookie of the Year. Lillard winning was widely expected; he led all rookies with a 19-point scoring average, averaged 6.1 assists and 3.1 rebounds, and played in all 82 games this season. He also broke Stephen Curry's rookie record for 3-pointers in a season with 185 and became the third NBA rookie with at least 1,500 points and 500 assists, after Oscar Robertson and Allen Iverson. That's all fine and good, but what about Anthony Davis? Davis finished second in the voting, with 306 total votes, 299 below Lillard. MKG, the second pick in the draft, finished in eighth with 3 votes. Both he and Davis were hampered by injuries throughout the season. Screen shot 2013-05-02 at 10.01.48 AM Get 'em next year, boys.
