At Least 30 LSU football players are in Quarantine due to COVID-19

Yesterday, we got a staggering number of Clemson football players testing positive for COVID-19. Now, college football’s national champions are seeing similar numbers.
According to Sports Illustrated, at least a quarter of LSU’s football roster has been quarantined this week due to virus concerns.
This doesn’t necessarily mean all 30 players have the virus, but those 30 include the undisclosed number of players who have tested positive and those who have been in contact with said players.

In an interview with SI, LSU’s senior associate athletic trainer, Shelly Mullenix would not confirm the actual number of players who did test positive, but she says the number is on par with the rest of the programs around the country.
None of the positive cases have been traced back to workouts within the facility, but have been contracted in the community, at bars and restaurants. People in Baton Rouge fear a big spike after more than 100 LSU nightclub goers tested positive on Friday.
