I hope you’re on the under in Kentucky‘s fight against the No. 1 team in college football because, at the half, the Wildcats and Georgia Bulldogs have a combined nine points on Kroger Field’s scoreboard.

Current score: Georgia 9, Kentucky 0, at intermission.

For Kentucky, the offense actually had success moving the ball against Georgia’s top-ranked SEC defense in the first couple of quarters. Still, the scoring problems continued after two drives of 121 total yards resulted in zero points for the home team. The game’s first possession ended in a turnover on downs on 4th-and-1 at the UGA 31; the next was a Will Levis interception in the end zone on 3rd-and-12 from the 18 as Levis was trying to make a play following two unsuccessful runs.

When Georgia had the football, the ‘Dawgs were held to three field goals after critical third-down stops in the red zone; the third one helped out with an expiring clock to force Kirby Smart’s 4th-and-1 decision into three more points as the teams went their separate ways for halftime.

Until the action picks back up, read the box score below for more statistics behind the touchdown-less first half in Lexington.

Georgia will get the ball to start the second.
