Tiger ace Dillon Ortman shut down the Wildcat offense, allowing just one run on seven hits in a six inning effort for his ninth win on the season, which ties him with A.J. Reed for most in the SEC. Wildcat starter Chandler Shepherd had the shortest outings of his career, allowing five runs (three earned) on eight hits in just two innings in his first start in over a month due to a forearm injury.  Ryne Combs took over in relief in the third and worked four innings and allowed three runs (one earned) on as many hits.  Taylor Martin and Zack Brown combined to shutout the Tigers in the final three frames. Auburn jumped all over UK from the start, scoring six runs in the first three innings.  The Cats lone run came on back-to-back doubles by Thomas Bernal and Storm Wilson to lead off the fourth. The Cats and Tigers will will face off in a crucial rubber match tomorrow afternoon at 1.  Once again, the game will be televised on CWKYT and Fox Sports South. UK vs Auburn 2
