SEC football fans now have more clarity on the status of their respective rosters ahead of Saturdays in the fall. The league instituted a new policy in 2024 that requires schools to submit official availability reports.

Each Wednesday-Saturday during SEC game weeks, both schools will share an availability report. It will be updated nightly, with one final ruling an hour before kickoff on Saturdays. Players must be listed as out (0% chance to play), doubtful (25% chance to play), questionable (50% chance to play), or probable (75% chance to play).

A lot of scholarship players will not be making the travel squad this weekend for Kentucky due to injury.

Kentucky availability report

  • WR Troy Stellato: Out
  • CB DJ Waller Jr.: Out
  • WR Ja’Mori Maclin: Out
  • RB Jamarion Wilcox: Out
  • OLB Jacob Smith: Out
  • DB Terhyon Nichols: Out
  • DB Jaden Smith: Out

Starting cornerback DJ Waller Jr., starting wide receiver Ja’Mori Maclin, and rotational nickel Jaden Smith all were moved to out on Thursday’s availability report update. Starter Terhyon Nichols followed them on Friday. However, things are trending in the right direction for both Seth McGowan and Landyn Watson. Both were removed from the availability report on Friday. Kentucky should get its RB1 back after a one-game absence. Tight end Willie Rodriguez and outside linebacker Steven Soles Jr. did not appear on any availability report this week. Rodriguez was injured against Tennessee and Soles was a late scratch. UK’s corner depth will be tested on Saturday.

Auburn availability report

  • WR Horatio Fields: Out
  • OL Connor Lew: Out
  • DL Jourdin Crawford: Out
  • WR Malcolm Simmons: Probable

Auburn recently lost starting center Connor Lew to a season-long injury. Starting wideouts Cam Coleman and Malcolm Simmons both moved from questionable on Wednesday to probable on Thursday. Coleman was completely removed from the report on Friday. That is good news for the Tigers.
