Saturday’s matchup between Kentucky and Vanderbilt is the Wildcats’ final SEC football game of the year. That means this is the last week that we will receive a clean look at who is available to play before the game.

Each Wednesday-Saturday during SEC game weeks, both schools will share an availability report. It will be updated nightly, with one final ruling an hour before kickoff on Saturdays. Players must be listed as out (0% chance to play), doubtful (25% chance to play), questionable (50% chance to play), or probable (75% chance to play).

The Kentucky Wildcats, particularly on defense, have quite a few players sidelined for the SEC finale against the Commodores. Here’s what we learned about a few others on Thursday:

Kentucky Availability Report

OUT

  • WR Troy Stellato
  • OLB Sam Greene
  • CB DJ Waller Jr.
  • CB Jantzen Dunn
  • RB Jamarion Wilcox
  • DB Jaden Smith
  • DB Jordan Lovett
  • LB Devin Smith
  • OL Aba Selm
  • WR David Washington Jr.
  • TE Elijah Brown

DOUBTFUL

  • CB Nasir Addison
  • OL Malachi Wood

QUESTIONABLE

  • LB Alex Afari Jr.
  • CB Terhyon Nichols
  • DL Kahlil Saunders

There was only one big change on Thursday, and it’s not surprising. DJ Waller suffered a hamstring injury in week one. He re-injured it about halfway through the season, and from that point on, the writing has been on the wall. The Youngstown native dressed for the Florida game, but it’s safe to say he’ll miss the rest of the 2025 season.

As for the other three Kentucky defensive starters, Stoops sounded optimistic about Kahlil Saunders on Monday, but shared the exact opposite sentiment for Alex Afari. Terhyon Nichols may truly have a 50-50 shot at playing on Saturday. The Cats desperately need the cornerback in a secondary that has been ravaged by injury.

Vanderbilt Availability Report

OUT

  • DL Yilanan Ouattara
  • QB Drew Dickey
  • RB Chase Gillespie
  • DB Vanzale Hinton
  • DL Nikhil Jefferson

As for Vanderbilt, only one change was made, and it’s not significant. Reserve OL Clinton Azubuike was upgraded from probable and removed from the availability report.
