Banana Ball is Coming to Lexington in 2026

The Savannah Bananas have taken over the baseball world. Now, Banana Ball is returning to the Commonwealth for a world tour stop in Lexington, Kentucky.
Like Ryan Lemond says about Stockton Mortgage, Banana Ball is growing. It started as a one-team show in Savannah. In 2026, they will play in the Banana Ball Championship League with six teams: the Bananas, Firefighters, Tailgaters, and Party Animals will be joined by the Loco Beach Coconuts and the Indianapolis Clowns (which carries the name of the former Negro Leagues team).
Banana Ball will be played in 75 stadiums across 45 states. After selling out 14 MLB ballparks in 2025 and a couple of football stadiums, they’re playing in some of the biggest sporting venues in North America. Kyle Field (Texas A&M) and Neyland Stadium (Tennessee) can each host more than 100,000 people. Gillette Stadium (Patriots) and the Superdome (Saints) aren’t small either.
If you’re thinking, “Does this mean they are gonna try this at Kroger Field?” Then you’re just like me. I regret to inform you that is a negative, Ghostrider. Instead of blowing it out at the big stadium, they are bringing Banana Ball to Legends Field. It’s the first time Lexington has hosted a game of Banana Ball.

The league’s two newest teams, the Loco Beach Coconuts and the Indianapolis Clowns, will play in front of approximately 10,000 fans during a three-game series from Sept. 11-13, 2026. It coincides with week two of the college football season, a weekend that has delivered devastating SEC losses in consecutive seasons for Mark Stoops’ Kentucky Wildcats.
Unlike most recent Kentucky football memories, it’s impossible to leave a Banana Ball game without a smile on your face. The production value is off the charts. The way the players engage with the fans for the entire game is difficult to describe, but it’s an absolute blast.
Banana Ball is in such high demand that you cannot simply buy tickets for the game in Lexington. There is a lottery system. Enter your name into the lottery for a chance to purchase reasonably priced tickets to see Banana Ball when it comes to Lexington’s Legends Field next September.
