There wasn’t a whole lot going on in the association on Sunday night. What there was, however, was the excitement to see if Isaiah Stewart was going to try to go five rounds again with LeBron James. Alas, nothing happened and basketball was played. Let’s dive in.

LeBron leads the Lakers

If I’m being completely honest here, I think we all wanted to see Isaiah Stewart come into Los Angeles with bad intentions. Although I don’t think his bank account could’ve handled another fine for coming at the face of the NBA.

Instead, Stewart had to watch the alleged Big Three of Los Angeles send the Pistons back to Detroit with a 4-16 record. LeBron led the way with 33 points on 12-20 from the field and this pretty dope highlight to boot.

Anthony Davis might’ve had his most efficient performance from the floor this season. AD finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds on 10-15 shooting, 2-2 from deep, which is important to note given how awful AD has shot from deep this year. Westbrook added 25 and nine assists to help complement the two superstars in the 110-106 win.

Enes Kanter needed a name change

In his first action since legally changing his name to Enes Kanter Freedom, Mr. Freedom had arguably his best game of the young season. Enes got 22 minutes of action in the 109-97 win over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, adding nine points and 10 rebounds in the win.

Most of the attention towards Kanter Freedom in the past has been centered around his ongoing fight for human rights around the globe. As he’s gotten older and his play on the court has started to decline, Kanter Freedom has been relegated more and more towards a bench piece as the past few years have gone on. He’s made it extremely clear though that his place in the NBA has no influence on how he speaks towards the media and to the public. His time on a basketball court is limited at this point, but that’s not the message he wants to talk about right now.
